In the face of intense competition and a rigorous tender process, Fulbourn Medical is delighted to have been successful and chosen as turnkey project partner with Maquet Hospital Solutions for three new operating theatres at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The new theatres will consist of two new Vascular Hybrid Operating Theatres that include imaging systems by a world leading vendor and a third conventional women’s theatre.

Fulbourn Medical is delighted to have been the turnkey project partner for Maquet Hospital Solutions on their recently completed Southampton General new theatre project.
Southampton General hospital required the provision of a new theatre to be located within a clean store area at the end of the existing theatre corridor. Fulbourn Medical has provided a full turnkey package within a 12 week programme to deliver this theatre that included; full architectural, structural and M&E design to HTM/ HBN requirements. Fulbourn Medical provided on-site project management and coordination of services with the hospital's needs, liaising with the estates department and theatre staff.
The new theatre utilises Maquets Variop modular wall system, one of the first in the UK. The Variop wall system is available in various colours and comes with an antibacterial powder coating; Prefabricated components ensure the shortest possible installation times and optimized project management. Variop has the additional benefit that the wall elements can be easily disassembled and reinstalled without any special tools.
Fulbourn Medical has a long track record in this type of project. Having provided turnkey solutions for many leading medical vendors with in excess of 100 integrated and non-integrated solutions.

Fulbourn Medical has continued its recent success with turnkey Theatre projects, by partnering with Maquet at the Sunderland Royal Hospital.
A programme of 14 weeks saw the total remodelling, refurbishment and installation of a Vascular Theatre incorporating a GE discovery imaging system, into an existing Theatre and staff rest area at the hospital.
A full services package including AHU, medical gas, electrical installation, UPS, IPS and data was included together with substantial services installations for the GE equipment.
Utilising the Variop wall system, the hospital has been left with a state of the art Theatre fully meeting up to date HTM requirements. The Fulbourn Medical project manager liaised daily with the estates and theatre staff to ensure the works were carried out with minimum disruption within the heart of the hospital's theatre department.
A fixed GE table and Discovery imaging machine were installed at the end of the project, with close liaison between Fulbourn Medical and GE to ensure all service requirements were in place ready for the installation.
